I did watch the whole thing a couple of years ago when I was totally convinced that there would never be any translations of it. I did the same with the movies too.
But watching raws without knowing much Japanese barely counts as watching it at all.

The television dramas from 2004 and 2005 have fansubs and pretty weeb-ish ones if I recall correctly. The movies from the 1980s don't have subs though.
There's also a 1994 film that Wikipedia says was directed by the author of the manga himself, but I can't even find raws of that.
Angel Densetsu is a good mangá.
