>reading Great Expectations
>Estella appears
Holy shit, she's literally the perfect ojousama character. Fuck, they should've made this an anime.

>Great Expectation anime
Would watch, some of the scenes would look amazing giving the right director and studio. I wonder what an anime adaptation of pic related would be like?

Thanks for answering, anon. I thought this thread was a lost cause.
Here, have some Estella fanart from Pixiv.

Trigger. David goes through tax return after tax return, shuffles awkwardly at the the water cooler and plays tennis on the weekends.
or
Shaft. David goes to the IRA centre and meets five beautiful women (and a trap) with different personalities and otaku fan bases. Stationary bondage ensures.
Pick your poison and thank God it's not an Infinite Jest adaptation.Ara ara Wayne-kun, looks like you need some tennis lessons
does she ohohohohoho
It's unfortunate that the other Estella fanarts are all coming from that one South Park episode that parodies Great Expectations.

I also want the anime adaption of Crime and Punishment. Dounia will be the best imouto character ever. I believe she's the originator of imouto moe

Haha, the girl who drew >>133559666 also said that Estella may be the originator of tsundere.

This will never be allowed on anything other than a midnight anime.

I wish World Masterpiece Theatre would pick it up since Dickens work in general seems like it would be suited well for that studio.

What about a joint production by Trigger and Shaft? I think A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again could also make a fun anime.
>>133560053
Isn't there already a manga adaptation but set in modern day? I'm pretty sure Dostoyevsky's grandson commented on it at one point

Maybe Estelle is the first ojousama/tsundere? I definitely think she leans more towards tsundere though.

Yeah, definitely. They almost decided to adapt Oliver Twist, which I imagine would be something like Romeo.
Shit's dead now though. It will take a miracle to revive it. Maybe sacrifice some firstborn child to Nippon Animation's executives.
>Maybe Estelle is the first ojousama/tsundere? I definitely think she leans more towards tsundere though.
She's both.
And she's far from your usual tsundere. She doesn't even blush one bit and she's well aware of her beauty. So she plays with Pip, like by asking him if she's pretty or by telling him that he can kiss her before slapping and berating him with her sharp tongue. Really, I'm not even sure where the "dere" is.
>Pip chasing after the haughty oujo rather than the nice childhood friend he already has
Even in the 19th century. osananajimi never wins.Though to be fair, Pip says if only he could fall in love with her instead after she says Estella isn't worthy of his admiration due to her attitude.
Who will voice Christmas Cake Havisham?
I tried reading it when I was 9 and couldn't finish it, my attention span was like a retarded goldfish. It's sat on my shelf for about 15 years now, guess it's time to try again.

If i remember right she gets married off to someone else and said person beats her.
