A boy falls in love with a girl.

Agreed. It felt extremely natural, where you saw them building up over the course of the show. So when the climax came and they realized they were about to be separated forever there was no drama, there was just them admitting it and kissing. Was great.

I just finished 35 and the first movie, and watching him slowly come around to her is the greatest thing ever. I thought he was an edgy asshole at first but he quickly won me over, especially with the Dash episode.
I still feel kinda bad for Tomoyo and Mei Lin though. Still, Shaoron/Sakura is definitely OTP.

I honestly struggle to think of a better romance in an anime. There are couples with better chemistry, but they are usually already a couple when the series start, and never have their relationship challenged. CCS builds the entire relationship from the ground up.
