Which is a largely useless skill. You could've learned 2000 words in the same amount of time which would be far more beneficial.
I'm not saying writing has no value. I write, but only to get a better understanding of the character (writing it out stroke by stroke lets me get a feel for how the character "fits together" and emphasises the differences between similar characters). The part about them not blooming quickly comes after this and is follow by といい -- so you're saying it would be good if this isn't true. I honestly think we're the first English speaking people to catch onto that double meaning. I asked a friend who's known Japanese for about 5-6 years about the title and he really didn't understand what they meant by ”ち”, and neither did this thread till someone brought up 未知.
