Didn't really go anywhere though, he's all about Hiroko until the end. He's always a trap, but a trap isn't necessarily gay or anything. Being a trap just means you wear girls clothing for one reason or another.

They've made miracles happen before here. Now that they've all come together, they just have to create the biggest one they've ever done to finish it off.
They probably would have freaked out more after the revelation, if not for Hiroko and then Takamina standing up and laying down some bombs.
And then them remembering the letter that Minori left them before trying to disappear forever.
Minoru thought they were going to be doing the concert for the next few hours as he ran away, he didn't count on them bailing on that shit to track him down after they found out the truth. Them finding out the truth due to someone screwing up is actually what saved them, since it caused them to read the letter early.
Its kind of clear Hiroko isn't dealing too well perhaps, she might be freaking more than the rest; but at the same time she's probably standing up and putting everything into this, because she's more afraid of losing Minori than she is of the other stuff.
She's also the first that tracks him down of course. She's not going to lose this one, so she's putting on a brave face.

Shit has been leading up to Hiroko from the start.
Although the title has been "Rules against love" from the start, so I don't know how they'll get past that. Since she's probably not going to quit her dream to be with him, so we're at an odd impasse in a way.

I think(?) she managed to save his heart in the most recent chapter, after he felt trapped by this situation. So next chapter they might meet up with the others and figure out a plan. The enemy this time is nothing so easy to overcome.
Alice is in the audience for the concert, and I'm pretty sure that'll come into play here.
Feels like everything that's going to happen here, is going to happen in one night. Meaning shit is still going to go down even harder.
Minori I think wasn't supposed to be a part of this concert, they bet against him being there and blackmailed him. If he shows up they'll lose out, but they can recoup their losses by trying to reveal his identity in front of everyone while there's a live audience.
Unless the AKB group preemptively reveals it on their own terms? That's about as much of a theory as I have for now. Only way to stop the blackmailing, is to just take away their ammo, and find a way to keep the public on your side.

From the current scanlations its about seventy chapters left until the end.
It was kind of a big time long running manga, that was rather well received over there. It runs in the same publication as Fairy Tail or Negima in a major enough magazine if that's an indication. Its just sort of too niche to be mentioned on English sites too much outside of some fandoms, but damn if it isn't a good story and worth it. I mean AKB as a group isn't as well known over here.
Its probably the longest manga involving cross-dressing as a plot device to ever exist, or that ever will exist. It also reminds me a lot of Eyeshield 21 in some ways oddly enough.
In the end it'll have 250 - 260 chapters, and more than half are translated already.

Batoto guy (EraMemory) is one of Substitute Scan's translators. The afterword guy (Tora) who plans to release in LQ all at once next July is the group's redrawer. I don't know if they're working together on it, but one would assume so.
The part that worries me is releasing all at once. I would be very surprised if they actually deliver 100% on that promise, and I wouldn't bet 8 months of waiting on it.
