have you read the manga?they're roleplaying a married couple. she took him in because kakkoi otoko desu but later learned his past life regret. in an attempt to ease his sorrow she ended up corrupted daikoku which in turn stung her as the namegiver. knowing his master suffering, he sought yato help and got his past memories severed thus ended kofuku suffering. she concluded the only way to grant daikoku his happiness was that page related.

One of the under-discussed strengths of Noragami is how much it draws on real homelessness. Yato's the loser single father that has to take care of his kid, who hates him and resents the stigma of homelessness. Kofuku and the big guy are the cool childless couple that give you dinner and part-time work now and then, Tenjin's the priest that wants to help but doesn't want to enable, Hiyori's the generous upper-class girl that just doesn't get poverty.
