UN induces them to fight with one another and finally defeats.

Something akin to this is what I expect.
Princess could use it, after doing something to ken, so could he. Princess might have been the original defector. Instead of conquering earth, she stayed around because /reasons/.
Why do they look human? Centuries earlier they did it before, that group is Princess's ancestors, they become indoctrinated/willing join aliens. Centuries later their ancestors are sent back home time and time again to do what ever it is they do. Were the rocks they want always on earth? Did Princess run away with them and hide them on earth?
So beyond the hubris of aliens this should have escalated (or will in a few episodes). But going full galactic with earth just having 1 mech and no space capabilities is just boring and asspull territory.

It's okay 5/10 so far. It hasn't completely pissed me off. The logistics side is a tad weird and it's still vying towards the SoL side. The stakes don't seem real enough with how very few seem to have died, the fucking aliens don't seem to indiscriminately kill the populace unless fired at first. There's no tension, the mystery isn't that big a deal yet etc.
