I just finished this show recently and thought it was really disappointing. I liked the animation, music, and the setting but the story felt really pointless and the characters felt a bit shallow.

Even to it was indeed nicely done, the final episode is where most of the complains come from. Which is funny because either 5-10 minutes or a better handling of the beginning of the second half would have done wonders with it and the overall impression of the anime.

Who else thinks that Yuuna actually knew Tougou was Kokubou Kamen all along? Yuuna spends almost every waking second with Tougou, there's no way she could fail to recognise her presence instantly. It's clear she just thought it would be fun to play along.

I have to respectfully disagree on this one. If anything, properly showing of the Yuushas slowly recovering from their disabilities in both; first learning that they are indeed recovering and that it's a mater of time for them to fully heal will do (I believe) wonders with the pacing. The catch is that this would have likely taken time from the very scene in your pic as the theater one is already too short as it is.
They, understandably, wanted to focus a little more on the "Yuuna Awakens" scene rather than balancing it out with the other acts of the second half of Episode 12.

They are not, though. See >>133400470 and >>133399518, there's no weird puff on Tougou's cardigan even though the jacket, especially its cuffs, is pretty thick. Tougou also doesn't button up her cardigan and you can see nothing but the dress underneath it.

It might be a special case for Togo then. Fuu's cardigan is fully buttoned in the anime and Yuna/Itsuki/Karin's uniforms are definitely standard. I spent time studying the uniform on display in Japan and that's how the official maker patterned it. It is also how sailor collars/panels usually work in a jacket-jumperskirt combo.

NoWaYu is dark from the get-go and from what I understand generally has better writing than WaSuYu as well, although its ongoing.

Is there a reason why the Taisha phones use the formal number kanji, the sealing ritual timers use the normal number kanji, and then Tougou's sniper rifle uses Arabic numbers? It all seems inconsistent.

I was under the impression that the choice of numeral system being arbitrary and inconsistent is very common in Japanese, and not exclusive to YuYuYu, at least in my experience.
Hibikek got a s2, show by rock got a S2 and magical boys got a S2 yet ponycan has yet to give us the yuushas.
