I highly doubt they'd be able to relate to humor that nuanced and subtle, with KotH you really have to pay attention to their expressions and body language a lot of the time to get the full scope of humor where in Japan character's faces and reactions are as flashy ostentatious as possible. Plus, the vast cultural differences is bound to turn a lot of them off, they generally don't like things they find strange or foreign.
