I'd recommend the manga.
The anime can be a little slow in grabbing interest. Definitely isn't a show with "twists" or big endings at the end of the episode. It's comfy all the way through and doesn't hit a high until the final episode.
The manga has A LOT of references and reading it will allow you to enjoy the anime much more.

The series was introduced basically with the anime. (The only person I think mentioned the manga beforehand was Yutanpo and some one random dump of chapter 1) and the series was pretty sub-par and there were really no scanlations beyond volume 2 for a long time. Plus, the manga's not really in a format to be widely popular here. It's got little material to shitfling over other than quackposting and yuri-baiting.

I don't want to upload anything to a booru just like the soremachi fans on 2chan aren't uploading the pics anywhere. I think they've gotten successful at making continuous soremachi threads every 2-5 days by dumping lewd pics in all their threads to attract attention.
I'll follow their same strategy here and keep posting pics in hopes of getting some more frequent soredemo threads. Since the manga is released monthly, fanart is probably the main thing to keep threads going and uploading to a booru would stop this.
We could probably get a few more good threads going before we all go into hibernation until next month with an occasional thread once or twice a week.

Well, they usually have 2-3 threads a week. And up to 5 a week if a chapter was just released (especially if it's a chapter focusing on the girls since that spurs the artists to draw more). They cycle through fanart reposts from the last couple of weeks before they start reposting new art. So basically every month the soremachi threads on 2chan have new art corresponding to the latest released chapter that they keep reposting in all the threads for that month.
It pains me to think of all the good fanart on 2chan that probably is lost from us before I started looking for their soremachi threads. The series was already half way through before I started stalking their threads.
