yup, unless there's someone else on 4chan doing anime reviews. I've got to finish up a video on Panzer World Galient first, but Gunsmith cats is going to be somewhere in the pipeline. The amount of work they put into accurately portraying the weapons in the OVA is insane. They went as far as to manually fire each gun in real life to record the sound of each gun, then gave that to the American dub team to use as mixes for the english version.
Same goes for the cars driven in the OVA. They really went the extra mile & it shows.
Does anyone know where I can find a better version of the OVA? The release on bakabt is really unclear, & I keep seeing square artifact which gets on my nerves. If I can't find a better version online I may as well buy the DVDs. They can't be that expensive.

Yeah, the OVA is sort of a standalone story.
So there's no required reading to understand what's going on.
Still, the animation team did a ton of research, including flying out to Chicago to take pictures and get the feel of the city down.
The climactic car chase actually follows the actual streets of the city so well than you could follow it on a map.
Not sure how much Chicago has changed its streets in the past 20+ years though.
