As for the 2nd highest thing ever I don't know, maybe they meant for that year, but even then there probably should have been some One Piece, Precure, or Pokemon movies and the like that did better.

One more thing to add. The theatre was about half full. I guess it just didn't have the marketing or exposure that Madoka or Love Live has, or maybe it was because it was on a weekday. I highly recommend seeing it if there are more showings in your area and they're not sold out.

Yeah, I saw LL at the same theater in Sep and I'd estimate the crowd tonight was only 20% of last time. It's also not a sequel/spinoff, so it didn't attract a large crowd like Anohana did at the other theater I used to go to.
