I think you guys have good intentions when giving Ash the boot. I would also like something in the lines of male or female MC leave the town (even both could work) and add the rival, same catching and gym antics, reveal the bad guys earlier in the plot and keep it up for most of the run. Keep the league and add a Elite 4 and champion run for the winner (one of the three retards I mentioned in at the start).
Would be cool if you actually didn't know which one would actually win the league or if they could clear the Elite 4 and even beat the champion in each gen.

Nah not really. First of all overcome what when they are all easy as fuck. Only time I had to go all out with potions was when Silver ambushed me when I was leveling at Mt Moon and I only had Suicune and Polywrath with more than 50% hp and moves.

Yes, Blue was always one step ahead of you. You may beat him in the game, which is required, but he was always still a step ahead of you. Even then he has a very well and balanced team and is one of the better Champions in the entire series.

What I think is that "rivals" are meanigless when the game overall barely makes them worth being called that. So Blue and Silver are about as good as "rivals" as the retards that followed them.
When I played in gen 1 and 2 I realized they liked to appear at random surprising you with your pants down. They tonned it down in Gen 4 and I think they even heal you nowadays. Or maybe they did that in gen 4 too I don't remember.
