DBS, in terms of comedy has been alright so far. But it truly is lacking a good villain to put the series as a "Dragon Ball" for me.

When they decided the silly boy with the tail is actually apart of the "saiyan race" and can go through phases of yellow hair lengths is when it got really stupid. Super continues down the path of boredom that DBZ was on after Namek. It seems to continue the cycle of 'just beat the previous bad guy, the next is even more powerful, so we better train in montages'. You could see the God of Destruction thing as a continuation of the Kais and their mythos. I'm not a fan of the SSJ God name (probably could have gone with something else for the English dub, but no) nor do I really like the premise.
GT went nuts on introducing new elements AND rehashing old elements, in a not very creative manner. It's Pilaf who makes Goku a kid (didn't enjoy Pilaf in Super either, why use a character that didn't stand a chance against Goku as a kid over and over?) with pumped up Dragonballs that Kami made, even though the regular ones were destroyed along with his fusion to Piccolo. Then they magically spread over the entire galaxy. While they have pretty much always looked for the Dragonballs on Earth with multiple people in DBZ, now they're going easy with just one team. Goku has to rediscover his SSJ powers, Trunks is useless and nobody figures that stowaway Pan could be returned to Earth over taking her along.
Then there's Baby (his plot is basically a rewritten 'Plan to Eradicate the Sayjins') and magic SSJ 4 that turns Goku into an adult, but only in that form. Also; fur, but not everywhere. Also; red eyeshadow.
Then there's Super 17 which makes no sense (it takes Goku 20 episodes to remember that androids 19 and 20 could also absorb ki attacks) and the dragons who, despite Shenron not being stronger than he who made him, are more powerful than anyone would have been at the end of Z.
Honestly, people who think GT is better than Super are the same kind of morons who will say Star Wars ep1 is better than 7, or who say MGS4 is better than MGSV: nostalgia fags.

Honestly I like this slice of life take on DB.
There is something that feels right when I watch it because it feels that their universe makes somehow sense where there is space for normal life. The details is that the slice of life episodes aren't any school/pool/beach/insertfanservicehere kind of episodes and somehow even with comedy the series universe can be taken more seriously (not just characters that say they are the most powerful and edgy af like some shows). BUT I have to say some of the things make me cringe, but that is directly from the animation itself which I realize how bad it can be sometimes.

But, the next fish, when she fishes the previous day's fishes to the fish, she only fishes at her with a fished expression. She is the fish's alternate fish, who has fishen in fish with the fish's own fish, who too is blissfully fish of her fish.
Fishes ensue as the two fish up a fish to fish each other their darkest, most private fishes in order to fish the other with the fishes they need to fish the fish of their other fishes. While the two fish their respective fishes, fish fishes as they fish to fish in fish with each other instead and fish the NATURE of FISHING.
