Synopsis for Episode 5 in English

Acting against the U.S. which started to use space beasts as a weapon, various countries began to follow suit as to act as a preventative force. Is it possible to peacefully use beasts that can at times become uncontrollable? With the suspicion of the people abounding, the protest movements start to become even more active. The Superhuman Bureau infiltrate Peace University in search of the missing Seiji Matsumoto. However, Jiro gets a mysterious drug injected in him, and he starts to go on a rampage in Equus. Meanwhile, the American army's Space Beast, which was supposed to have been missing, fuses with GaGon and starts a fierce battle.

Master Ultima, an alien-human hybrid superscientist returns from Space and brings space monsters back to Earth for the U.S. One of those space monsters died in Okinawa, so the U.S. army drops it to the ocean. The Bureau is searching for it, but doesn't find its corpse (because it was appropriated by the Kaijuu-fans).

The anti-war protest movement fuses GaGon with the space monster, transforming it into MegaGon. Jirou is made to go berserk, but before he can cause too much damage and tarnish the reputation of superheroes, the Bureau manages to stop him. The Bureau devises a scheme how to dispose of MegaGon, and use Jirou to kill it.

Conclusion: Jirou is a normal human, who just happens to have a world-hating monster sealed inside him. Perhaps.
Also, Kikko got told by Emi that her love for Jirou is better than hers.

The animation quality in this episode is pretty jarring. The first half almost looks like that twintail anime but the final fight got a really high bump.

I'm so completely lost on whats happening its hilarious. At least I'm understanding the timeline jumps easy enough, but as for everything else I got no clue. Why would people even want to help and protect kaiju? They're fucking kaiju. They smash shit, they should be eliminated. They even said last episode that they're comparable to Natural Disasters, you just gotta prepare and deal with them. I also got no idea whats up with Jirou being experimented on, but whatever.
