Not really, I've read some good things made in the West, but for the most part, they don't hold up in terms of plot or art.
9 out of 10 times the things you see in the Western tag are ridiculously overly exaggerated drawings of the human/animal body fucking for no reason, whereas doujins and mangas at least try to make it make sense as to why people are fucking, and unless it's going for over the top art, it stays realistic. There is just higher demand and supply for lewd comics in Japan. Because of far higher competition, Eastern artists are forced to improve or quit, unlike Western artists who will still get paid even if they're trash.
