You've got a good eye for taste for being new. NNB is definitely a top 5 all-time SoL anime and arguably the most consistently well-executed SoL anime.

There isn't another school-focused straight SoL executed as well as K-ON. It doesn't exist. The closest thing is Azumanga Daioh but its visuals obviously don't compare to KyoAni.

1 episode per day max unless you're going to rewatch it for certain. If that gives you too much free time then pick up other series. I can remember the things I watched better this way. I marathoned parts of K-ON! but I've rewatched it 4 times since.
