Chaos Dragon is based on a RPF (role playing fiction) Red Dragon, created through TRPG (table-talk role-playing game) sessions by five character creators: Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Fate/Zero), Kinoko Nasu (Kara no Kyoukai, Fate/stay night), Izuki Kougyoku (Garden Lost), Doriru Shima, and Ryogo Narita (Baccano, Durarara!!).

Swallow himself's not a bad character. I cringed when I first saw his design, but his ability and personality/life are pretty well meshed-together. It's not godly or anything, but he's a pretty solid character on the whole.

You can probably find translations on BL, if you can't read moon. I think Reiu said they're working on translating the character materials and other stuff, but I'm pretty sure a decent chunk of it's in English by now.
