I think what's great about it is how "realistic" its portrayal of relationships in real life compared to other anime. In most romance anime women are seen as either pure virgins ready to violated by the MC or as hungry sluts horny for MC's goods. This show throws a curveball with its girls being on the gray area, not too pure nor too flawed, just like in real life.
The only problem I have with it is the ghost subplot. Its just stupid and out of place.

I found the whole Eiffel deal really cute. Koko was understandably unsure of having a sexual approach with her new boyfriend so she came up with the Paris thing which sort of become a code word between them. Then after some time and getting more confident with her feeling she come to grow frustrated at TADA BANRI not making any sexual advances on her doubting her looks when in reality he has massive hots for her but is respecting her initial wish. Koko basically has to spell it for him and hilarity ensued.
This sort of stuff rarely happens this way in highschool settings. It's usually chock full of misunderstandings and drama about purity and shit.

Nobody was totally selfish. Everyone had selfish goals and desires, but everyone also cared about other characters. Occasionally these feelings conflicted, and often characters handled such conflicts in less than ideal ways. Kind of like real people, especially young people with limited experience with human relationships and emotions related to them. Characters were probably the most solid and competently written part of the show. The plot went full retard at times, drama was pretty shitty towards the end, but the characters made sense. They were flawed but relatable. I kind of feel like the whole thing would have been a lot better if it would have sort of dared to rely on the characters and their interactions as a sufficient source of drama and entertainment instead of introducing Ghost Banri and issues with Banri's memories.

My niggah. The best thing about Koko was how faithful and devoted to him she was, which never lead him to doubt her feelings. In Linda's case, their relationship ebbed and flowed in that ambiguous way that normal anime romance couples do which is what ultimately caused their estrangement. Basically, Linda couldn't just woman up and tell him how she felt like Koko did, thus she lost.
If anything, I wish Banri could have done more to assure Koko that he loved her, but he seemed more a man of action than words.

Yeah, even if there was sort of a triangle both girls took it out more on the circumstances of on each other. The closest antagonism they had was during that work at a night party and even then Linda apologized and Banri cleared the mess quite quickly. Koko's resolve to be a better girlfriend and keep her friendship with Linda was awesome.
I always found funny how even after she stopped pursuing Mitsuo she kept a rivalry with Okamera despite the later having absolutely nothing to do with her love life.

Oh man, Koko and Okamera was so beautiful. It began as a rivalry, albeit one sided, but by the end they were really close friends who relied on one another. The most telling part was after the car crash. The way Koko gently pushes her napkin to stop Oka from bleeding was so sweet and humble. Oka is right when she says Koko is just shy.
