I think it's fine as long as it doesn't interfere with the intent of a song.
"Dont lose your way" was created to work with the 'second wind' feeling of a fight, and for that purpose it worked perfectly, doesn't really matter that the MC lost her way enough to make the song seem pointless, or even that apart from those main words, the rest of the song is almost unintelligible and makes no sense. It's not really important.
The only time its bad is when it doesn't fit with the music/pacing/theme.
