Agree, completely opinions. It would be difficult to discuss because not only would that involve personalities and history, but we try to value cuteness and that would bring up the art styles which are unique to each series.
I would say that Haikyuu does have the upperhand on better match pacing. KnB is just as much about the sport, it's just not as well written as HQ, more drama heavy, too, and that would take away some time which may make it seem less I suppose.

For real though, I do like Yowapeda more than either of these. It hits the right balance between being Absolutely Crazy like Basuke and demonstrating actual knowledge about the sport like Haikyuu.
In addition, races have a very natural tension to them that makes the anime adaptation's turtle-y pacing actually pay off.
Hakogaku is full of best boys and best girls.

I know the anime pace drove a lot of people crazy, but I enjoyed it. I've said it many times now, but it was realistic, like you said, natural, and the tension sustained kept me on edge and constantly hyped for the next one.
I recently started Baby Steps. It's my new found motivational series. Damn nice surprise of a series since I went in without reading the manga.
