KyoAni is pretty much golden standard of animation and production right now. Pretty much everyone should take a cue.
But i guess those who finish KyoAni inhouse school, stay working in KyoAni. Nowadays studios look for young talent in Young Animators Project - but those people quickly move to more lucrative places. See Trigger, most young animators left and did not stick with after LVA or Madhouse.

They actually praise Godakobo there, and there are few comments from animators that worked there.
That said, they need to up their game. While Plastic Memories is good, Mikagura is disgrace quality wise. This is what happens when you try to produce more shows than you can chew.

That aside, NO ONE right now makes non-cgi robots, so it does not really matter. Of the latest Sunrise shows only Build Fighters was actually handdrawn.
