Yes its from the Vita gameOne of Sonoko's 21 fairies is a Baku, a Japanese spirit that enters peoples dreams and eats them. With it Sonoko can enter people's dreams and insert scenarios and then erase them, leaving the dreamer with only a sense of the emotion that they felt during the dream. Sonoko uses it to run simulations of how to fight the vertex. Then when she finds out who the new Yuusha are, she goes into their dreams and tests them to see if they are good enough to fight the vertex and stardust all at once in a decisive battle. All of the battles in the game and most of the SoL scenes are Sonoko placing different groupings of the girls in different situations to see how they react, how attached to each other they are, how much they care for each other.
Apparently this is the real reason her phone was taken away. She tried to tell the Taisha what she did and the results of her experiments to convince them to change how they were using the Yuusha and they became terrified and took it away. In doing so they pissed off Shinju as he is the one who gave that power to Sonoko and the Taisha are just the delivery boys. He then helped Sonoko get in contact with Togo and Yuuna and the rest goes as in the anime

A large part of the problems in the story were the adult members of the Taisha not being able to control their emotions and imposing their own decisions based on those emotions over Shinju's instructions. They kept the second group of heros at arms length, only communicating by text msg, because they feared their people becoming emotionally attached the girls and also that they would give away the secret as to what was beyond the barrier. They were afraid of Sonoko's belief in fighting a single decisive battle that if won would allow the yuusha time to demobilize and replacement yuusha to be found because there was still a good chance they might lose. They also disliked being lectured by a 14yo girl when they were adults and mostly male. But going against one of the Yuusha was going against what the Taisha were created for, to be the arms and legs that Shinju had given up in order to physically become the vessel that they are living in. They had no business interfering in communication between Shinju and the Yuusha or amongst the Yuusha themselves. So when Fuu and Togou turned against them Shinju stood by and let it happen when he could have just taken their power away[/spoiler]
One of the ironies of this show is that the girls, being still school girls and used to following instructions from adults, did not realize that their power comes from Shinju and Shinju alone. He is their only boss. The only one who might have realized it before ep 12 was Sonoko. But even she, because of her handicap, realized that she couldn't just boss the Taisha around, they had to cooperate, the Taisha can sit down and go on strike just as easily as the Yuusha could.

Its a spear. But the traditional kind of spear used in Japan is a little unusual in that its designed for cutting as well as thrusting. The spear head is in the shape of a short double-edged sword. Sonoko's magically enhanced version has multiple floating blades that surround and parallel the fixed blade. The US release is actually only 2/3 the price of the Japanese releases. And they're identical in quality except for a few of the bonuses like the VN and the Vertex core cases.
They can't sell a box set yet because they sold the first US volume (JP vol 1+2) before they even sold the fifth JP volume. And the US version includes even a dub.
Compare this to Aniplex's release of Rebellion, where the Japanese release and the US release cost about the same (JP = ￥ 10,350 = $87; US = $79.98). The US packaging is half-assed compared to the Japanese release, and there was a whole year between their release.
Pony Canyon USA could be doing much worse.
Gin is waiting for them all in Yuusha Valhalla. They will be met with a hearty "Sup fags."

Yes its mostly what if scenes where Sonoko places different parings of the girls in various situations to find out their true feelings for each other.
After each dream the Baku eats the dream, erasing it, leaving the dreamer with only the emotions they felt during the dream.
The episodes with the WaSuYu cast though are probably Sonoko using the Baku on herself. Its the reason she was given it, Shinju's compensation for her being completely paralyzed. Sonoko's unique use of the Baku's powers were something Shinju did not anticipate, that she would use it to wargame fighting the vertexes and to test the new Yuusha were not anticipated, but seemed to please Shinju greately.

It's probably because Karin acts strangely kind towards Tougou. She often pick fight with or trash talk Fuu/Yuuna yet always back off before Tougou and doesn't even fight back even if the later's bullying her. Itsuki doesn't count in this case because she's everyone's imouto.

Isn't that indicative of the opposite conclusion, though? Karin's the sort of girl who shows she cares by squabbling with the people closest to her. There's also the fact that Tougou's simply not really the kind of character to speak before she thinks and get swept up in a silly argument like Yuuna and Fuu do.

Nah, it's depended on who she's dealing with. Karin definitely cares for Itsuki and you don't see her ever got angry at her.
As shown in episode 11 and Sonoko After, Karin puts Tougou before herself. Couples that with the fact that she can't and doesn't even attempt to win against Tougou in anything (except for the breast department), that's enough material for a minor ship to sail.

She's cares for all of them, but she's not especially close to Itsuki or Tougou like she is with Fuu due to their similar situations and Yuuna due to her being Yuuna. Her main concern in episode 11 was doing right by Yuuna, and acknowledging that Tougou is always going to be the one closest by Yuuna's side.

I still can't imagine being Fuu or Tougou after the final battle. The amount of guilt that must have weighed on them before the recovery must have been backbreakingly immense.
