KLK was disappointing and the animation was mostly average at best with a few scenes of quality sprinkled in, easily Imaishi's shittiest work. The plot was a mess and for a show essentially about fighting it had maybe two decent fight scenes, the rest was "DONT LOSE YOUR WAYYYY" and recycled animation.
It's one of the worst examples you could use for modern animation still being visually appealing.
