I think a remake (or at the very least a renewal or a port) for the games and a short OVA series would be the best thing Broccoli could do if they would do something. GA did have its time in the spotlight, I don't think anything could bring it back to that level again.

I finished the 1st season but then my hdd died and real life shit came up. I tried to re download the bd of the first season but the torrent was dead or had one seed on nyaa. It's not hard at all. The only thing I had to do was take out the subs for the DVD version and extract them and put them on the bd. The only hard thing to do was decide on a font and color.

By simplified, since the game is on PS2 controls they mapped the everything to the Circle button. Click on a fighter and hit an enemy to order an attack, click an ally to follow or heal if you have the healer select, and click on the flagship to resupply. You could also go first person and strafe down enemy ship's guns but when you're replaying it the 5th time, you just let focus firing deal with it.
While I honestly never used the hold commands or guard ones, it feels a lot easier.

Oddly enough my local library carried the manga, and my brother checked it out, and then I read in secret when I was maybe 13.
