The protagonist of the story and a first-year student at Shuei High School. He is very tall and muscular, with a face that easily scares those around him. He scares many women but is very popular with many men. But Takeo is in truth extremely kind and selfless, quickly helping others without a second thought throughout the story.

A girl whom Takeo saves from a molester on a train. She attends Koizumi Girls' Academy, and is very skilled in making sweets.

Next door neighbor and childhood friend of Takeo, as well as his classmate. He is handsome, and all of the girls Takeo liked ended up falling in love with him instead. Makoto is always watching out for Takeo, and is willing to sacrifice his own happiness for his friend.

Well, Hayato Oda appeared on volume 3 or four, and now we have 8 volumes for 24 episodes.
If 1 volume adapted into 3 episodes, then that means Oda will make his appearance in episode 9 or 12, and not to mention the pace of manga can be really killing because it's too slow and almost nothing happened (at least until more characters showed up).
Well, I only watch this to see Asaka Morio's direction. Actually this is more difficult to adapted into anime than Chihayafuru / Nana, the director has to considers the pacing carefully.

Manga mostly seemed slow for me because of how long the chapters were, i remember them being like 50-60 pages each which really kills it for me for some reason even if i were to read the same number of pages but them broken up.
