During an post-premier talk show shown on nico after the Sidonia movie opening, they showed just a tiny snippet of the "test shot" of the BLAME! vid. It's a bit difficult to see, but it gives us what we might see.

Here's an interesting story.
Apparently, the original idea for a Sidonia anime came from Polygon Pictures, and not Koudansha or Nihei. In fact, Nihei himself was apparently fed up with the idea of having his works animated due to previous approaches (One set of BLAME! ONAs, one BLAME! CGI project down the drain).
Polygon at this time was looking for an entry point into the anime market.
Then came Seshita, the dude with the iPad (>>123571576), who's a hardcore Niheiboo. He got together a team to create a massive log of artwork and assets for Sidonia, which wasn't even at the approval stage from either Polygon or Koudansha.
So when he manages to score a meeting with Koudansha and Nihei, he had his mountain of stuff ready for presentation.
Nihei, who was extremely cautious going into the meeting was thinking he'll probably just torpedo the project before it began, but seeing the amount of reference the Polygon team came up with, he purportedly said "What are you idiots doing making all this stuff when this thing hasn't even been decided yet?" and gave the green light.
