Those are dynasty names for the Persian Empires that encompassed pretty much the entire Middle East, originating from modern day Iran. Other dynasties are the better known Parthians, and the Hellenistic kingdoms that occupied the land after Alexander the Great crushed and brought an end to the Achaemenid dynasty.
