I felt a pang when I realized no new episode today, but given that the spring season's flood of new shows are beginning to roll in, it's no big deal.

The last little arc is somewhat of a return to form (s1) and a glimpse into the series' future, going beyond what's been published in the source as of right now. I liked LH1 and was overall ok with S2, but that whole arc was flat boring.
Overall S2 seemed to fail at making the characters emotionally engaging, they seemed to go out of their way to push all the romantic subplots way into the background, to the extent of completely eliminating Krusty from the show. I don't know if this is from the LNs or not, but it was a mistake either way.
