And Hanekawa does get a bad rap honestly. Her personality is distorted, but really, look at everyone else.
Hitagi maimed people with stationary before she met Araragi, sent his bike to an dump after knocking him unconscious with 20 blows to the head, and was too afraid of being disliked to tell him to stop throwing himself at Nadeko, which ended up causing issues later. Yet most think she is somehow fixed.
Also Black was good because that short blip we got in Bake was retconned enough when the story was actually written. Them they took out several good parts to it, like the cheek healing scene was another point for Hanekawa being sly in conversation, but was lost in the anime. A lot of her scarily insightful stuff and jokes with Araragi get cut out for some reason.
Also fuck Ougi, that commentary in Koi went too far.
