Maybe it was because there were only 12 episodes but everything was so roundabout and nonprogressive. And not roundabout as in re-using scenes a shitload like Ikuhara loves to, but plot wise they just kept restating the same things again and again while hardly doing anything with it. Characters were pretty stiff too, in a non enjoyable kind of way.

I usually love analyzing and thinking about the possible meanings but not so much with Yuri Kuma.
I don't think it's all obvious but for some reason things that I didn't understand don't really bother me this time around.
It feels more like an emotional ride than an actual piece of art that I want to think about. Don't know whether or not that means that Ikuhara failed but I like the show quite a bit.
