Pretty much anything I could get my little hands on from the "Japanimation" shelf at the local blockbuster video, and later through older friends who were connected to the local community college anime club who did shitty vhs fansubs, or what I could buy from places like Suncoast or F.Y.E. with my allowance when they used to stock US licensed anime on VHS. Also sometimes the cable movie channels like HBO, Showtime, etc had anime on late at night. It was much harder to get before easily accessible internet piracy though. Or at least I didn't know how to access it at that time.
I'm 27, but old relative to 4chan.
