Yes Chaos Child bombed so hard on XBOne that it's being released on every Playstation platform available all at once. It's apparently out June 25th. I could have imported the XBOne version (I have the XBOne demo still sitting in my console), but I also just waited it out for the Playstation version. For example, the biggest concern is, though it could be considered stand alone, it doesn't really try to be one. The game feels too related to the other installments, even more so than Robotics;Notes.
My second biggest concern is, the delusions in this one are absolutely pointless to the point of seeming to be out of place. And they aren't particularly interesting either.

I see stand-alone...ness as one of a selling points of Science SDV. I always liked how cool it is: the same world, same organizations, same rules, but people involved are always different, and the events aren't really interconnecting. You can safely read one installment and not even guess that there was another one.
It gives you that kind of realistic sense, as if there actually is a huge world, similar to ours. It makes the setting more complete.And finding those subtle references and interesting things, like Visual Rebuilding Technology schemes and everything, those kind of things feel way more rewarding and personal if the connection between installments is not direct.
Like, you know, "Oh, there's a subtle reference! I got it! I wonder if anyone else got it? Since it's so not obvious, and you really need to be familiar with other games to get it...".
This versus blatant "There was a huge ass fuck earthquake several years ago..." and you already thinking that it was supposed to be in some previous game, and you only need to read a synopsis or a plot summary to get this one, etc.

He's okay. That's about as much as i can say about him.
He gets his development later in the story and he's likable and interesting enough to root for him, but he is definitely not as great as Takumi or Okabe.

There's only one real bug I know about. If you try to load a save made in 7th chapter, the game crashes, so you need to get through this chapter in one sitting. Everything else is fine.
