It makes very little sense, though - if WW2 really did happen in the past, then they should know exactly what happened, not just vague inklings and premonitions. Note also that Yamato said that it's LIKE there's a power making events of the past repeat - she lacks certainty because she's not sure what those events in the past exactly were, I think.

Granted, the finale wasn't anything special nor left a notable impression, but I fairly enjoyed it when Taihou showed up with much-needed support to overcome the adversary and performed beyond their expectations for a moment. I couldn't ask for more, I got exactly what I wanted along with Fumikane's new artwork as a bonus. Despite all of its glaring flaws, you can still find some redeeming values by stepping aside the things you may find repulsive from the show.
That being said, I look forward for more theme songs in the sequel. Also I know it's damn late, but should I post some stitches/webms for the heck of it?
