Iris is one of her most well-known roles.
Making it as a main character in a franchise has huge as Pokemon is a big deal for seiyuu, and Aoi's first video game was Pokemon Green as a kid.
She still appears in Pokemon events every so often despite.

Yes, that is part of the point.
Aoi is more like Chiwa or Sawashiro with a wide-range and good acting skills, while Hanazawa fits the soft, breathy moe voice niche.
