Anyone who took the runtime on the store page as 100 minutes of deleted content was fooling themselves. Something like that would have been advertised. It would be a huge selling point to have the equivalent of 5 OVA's bundled. But it was not even mentioned once, just extrapolated from the runtime as well as the 2 confirmed deleted scenes from early on.

I think the OST is decent by itself.It didn't really fit some of the scenes, yet it sounded great in some other places. Zero's soundtrack fit its show better overall, but it had less variety.
I'm still hoping that Fukasawa steps up his game this season, and judging by some of his work, he's pretty talented. Let's just hope this turns out good.

They mentioned the one uncut scene. And people from the theatre viewing of the prologue mentioned the reality marble scene. That was the only two we knew of.
They never advertised 100 minutes of deleted content, only that the runtime was longer than the tv airing. But that runtime included all content on the cd's such as trailers, cm's and soundtrack.

I'm watching the show for the first time through the BDs.
1st episode mostly just covers a day in the life of Rin, her servant summoning, and a few things afterwards. The run time is perfect in that it allows events to play out without feeling rushed or condensed. I think it also helps with characterization and atmosphere. By letting Rin have a normal day, we're introduced to her personality, the world around her, and her relationship with certain people and Masters. Much of Fate/stay night is about the characters so I think scenes like those are important. Rin is a fun character so her reactions to some of the events was great as she gets so flustered at times.
The background work is some next level shit. In fact it might be a bit too good, in that the composition of the characters juxtapose against how intricate and detailed the backgrounds are. That's mostly an issue indoors as outside is gorgeous. It's really exemplary how much work went into the background art. I should also mention the lighting is fairly decent at times and you can tell some time went into that.
Now that I have it all in one place, it's time to dig in and watch it.

People aren't being greedy, they expect BASIC things from Ufotable like including important scenes (projection foreshadowing from the common route and Shirou's monologue after the date are still not in) and including monologues or at least alluding to them through other means.
UBW 2014 will always be something you just watch to see the fights animated, standalone it's barely average. Hopefully HF gets better treatment.

According to the UBW Q&A "justification" from Nasu (read: someone said "this is how it happened, right?" and Nasu said "uh yeah sure"), Saber was able to escape from full Tsubame Gaeshi by combining her Instinct and Barrier of the Wind King. It diminishes the strength of the attack, perfect Tsubame Gaeshi was supposed to be something that's completely unavoidable and was even compared to Gae Bolg without the luck role. The fact that Saber can survive it without his blade being bent diminishes how deadly it is.
I think I've come to a conclusion from all the confusion - F/SN is one of those VNs that are much more difficult to adapt to a more linear narrative, because it's much more dependant on its non-linear nature to actually tell its story, despite being barely more interactive than a regular novel. That, and the VN has a ton of content (the English translation trumps the Lord of the Rings trilogy in terms of word count), so even a less time-compressed adaptation would be hard-pressed to do it justice without taking an equivalent amount of time.
Hell, even by dying you can learn information that you wouldn't know otherwise - fun fact, in one of the bad ends in Fate, Saber, upon seeing Kirei, actually wonders how the hell he survived being shot in the heart in the previous grail war, and earlier on, she makes a reference to using Excalibur in the harbour, and Gilgamesh makes a reference to Kiritsugu interrupting his 'wedding ceremony'. Fate/Stay Night has a shocking amount of call-backs to Fate/Zero before F/Z was even a thing, though F/Z does retcon certain minor details here and there.

It's not a power boost as much as it is a mechanics boost "conceptually", sorta. The reason aliens outside of TYPEs are hard to kill is because they play by their planet's rules and not yours, so generally you need to use something from their planet, something pre-planetary like Grain (Knight Arms in Notes and etc), or something from [ ] like True Magic. Excalibur's now managed to join that list. Even if the power of the beam hasn't changed (unless it's a battle where the world's at stake), the "mystery" of the beam has.
