They barely have characterizations in the WN.
The premise is interesting, but the writing is tedious and boring. It would be a way better novel if it dropped the journal format.
The slime reincarnation webnovel has a similar premise, and because it's not in a journal format it's a much more enjoyable read. You can feel the tension in the story and the characters are more lively.
That said, I do follow the Re:Monster webnovel. I'm hyped for the upcoming holy war/crusade. The poor countries don't know what they're facing against.
