I am okay with this. It's done by a studio that while rather sparse on anime, seems to have done good adaptations. The designs are kinda... eeeeh... but I can live with it. It's not the best but it's not Deen, so I can live with this.

Their anime adaptations, apart from the character design choice here, have been great. Basically, the only major difference is that they don't have huge mouths, which I'm not sure would have animated well to begin with.
The point is, it's not DEEN, it's not JC Staff's horrible group, it's a studio that seems to be pretty good at adaptations. I'm okay with this. Is it my first choice? Nah. I'd have rather had Satelight or PA Works do it, but this isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be.

The eyes, the nose, the entire face really is different. It is much more generic and less stylistic, which in turn doesn't lend itself as well to the overblown reactions drawings of the manga itself.
Unless it has them like that and then has them morph for close ups or reactions like the old cliche.
