That's not how the contract works, that's not something the world would risk either if it wants to keep her intact. If she dies in a war she wont return to the hill dead, if she's poisoned by mud she won't return to the hill poisoned, if she lives an entire life and grows old and dies naturally she won't return to the hill old.

She emphasized a lot with Sakura there as before that point in the route she said they were similar, and even as Black Saber she was like "Shirou, can you really save her with that half-hearted shit?". She liked Sakura and was sort of trying for her in a way, but in another bigger way it was just part of the contract. She wouldn't ever attack or finish Shirou unless directly ordered to do so, which worked out well since Sakura didn't so much want that either. The only time when she couldn't just shrug it off was when she was ordered to let no one but Rin past her, even if she didn't "have" to fight him if he'd just stay there as she noted at the time.
She's still Saber, just Saber who's become an anti-hero according to Nasu. Still retains her ideals and love, but she feels a lot of rage now.
Angya is like something that seeps into a person, and manifests through their sins, especially the most prevalent sins in them.

It's not that she lost a bunch of stats, rather if you look at them they're traded off to Min-max at worst. Nothing is lost, everything was pumped into power. "But Riding skill and Charisma are down..." fuck you if you think either of those mean one is stronger or weaker, none of those play any role in battle at all.
Alter is directly called the most powerful Saber, that has exceeded herself from life.
The dense layer of miasma that always covers her is noted to push her defense through the roof and give her more ability, infinite mana blasts can take out anyone, infinite regen, power on par with Hercules. It's not "Well she lost of a lot of shit compared to Rin's...", no she didn't lose it, it got channeled into another area.
Alter comes out ahead in stats, not only did she not lose anything, but her totals are higher here. Alter stands at 300 on the stat sheets, while Rin's Saber stands at 280, while Shirou's Saber is at 210.

If you read back some time, you won't really find much time when fuckall is really happening. Lot of its attributed to it feeling a lot longer going through because people maybe hate some character or plot element.
Shit's is notably going on every day though, especially in the background that eventually all comes together.
It's probably the route where SoL means the most because "This is what they're losing, and this is what they've had together all this time" in a sense, as the connection is already there but they just have to show it. It's more about what the characters are at risk of losing instead here, this peaceful every day life that it turns out they were never promised, and could be gone at any moment.
I dunno, if people read through again there really isn't so much time going by where "Shit just isn't happening" as much as we tend to remember. Even the SoL tend to focus on either plot or characterization each time.
