Yamato and Chris are both in the wrong. You're just biased because Yamato is the protagonist you're playing. And eventually they learn to understand each other, which is the whole point. They're two people from two very different countries, and have been raised very differently from birth, so obviously they're not gonna get along with someone who's the complete opposite.
