In Fate Stay Night, Enkidu was more of a present given to Gilgamesh by a Goddess, a human made from Gods to restrain Gilgamesh since Enkidu was the only thing capable of stopping Gilgamesh's raping spree.
In fate stay night, Enkidu's gender is never fully stated. Unlike the original myth, which states that enkidu was male, fate stay night decided to alter it for merchandise reasons into becoming whatever so Gilgamesh desired. Whenever Gilgamesh so desired a woman, Enkidu would, without having a say, be physically altered into a woman, when he wanted Enkidu as a man for bro, enkidu was physically altered as a body. Enkidu was Gilgamesh's friend/lover/bro/rival/spouse.
