My favorite show of the season if I don't count Durarara, but these two are hard to compare. The characters are interesting and their interaction is really fun to watch. I've had the light novel on my to-read list for quite a while since I've read a lot of positive reviews and shops in Japan promoted the novel a lot, too.

I like this show because it manages to have amusing character interaction in spite of its cliche ridden cast and meta-humor. Says a lot about how harems that actually rely on those gimmicks aren't even trying. All the girls being likeable and not having a bloated cast helps a lot too.

Yeah, except I just read the volume summaries on Japanese Wikipedia and they state thatIzumi goes to join 「rouge en rouge」, Eriri and Utaha only get offer from a major game maker after they help Aki finish his game. Megumi and Aki are them left alone as Aki begins to plan his second game. The drama stems from Megumi being unhappy with how Aki acted when Eriri got sick. Izumi and her brother then also leave 「rouge en rouge」.

Well I first wanted to confirm what was even circulating here on /a/. I think I saw some people say Eriri and Utaha betray Aki for 「rouge en rouge」 and that's clearly not the say. And the summary doesn't even seem imply there's any betrayal at all. Eriri and Utaha help Aki make the game and then decide to go professional for the sake of their personal growth. Seems reasonable to me. Aki is just unhappy with their first game, so he wants to make another and not only has Megumi to help.
