Her story isn't really done, she was never fully healed in the end and her continued dependence on Araragi is part of that. Hanekawa alludes to this as well.
Araragi lusted after Hanekawa, but it's probably Kissshot (specifically) who he fell in love with.

Considering he saw Kissshot in her full glory and everything it entails it's really not that far-fetched, especially with how her previous servant ended up, and Araragi's unnatural degree of devotion he's shown her throughout the series. There's also the factor that as the servant Araragi was subject to the emotional link between them, meaning he may have been influenced by Kissshot's affection toward him.
Their relationship certainly became more complicated over time, but the fact that the mental image he gets when separated from Shinobu is the Adult Kissshot, shows just how big of an impact she had on him at that time. It implies that out of all the time he's spent with her and all her forms he's seen, that one he only saw for around a single night still has the strongest impression on his conscience.
