Not exactly. His skill does involve "seeing" where the enemy will strike, by sheer observation as a swordsman. But his Kuden/Overskill involves "guide parrying" the attack to avoid it completely.
It's a martial arts concept, of just gently "nudging" an incoming attack to stray from its target. Soujirou is obviously adept in real sword fighting, and doesn't rely on "video game mechanic".
