Skeptical about Shoujo Fantasy
I was burned pretty hard with Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii. Was hyped up by mangafags as AMAZING only to be ok at best

Pretty good art, the characters aren't as retarded as the usual shoujo characters are, SHOUJO DRAMA is a thing but usually gets resolved quickly, generally heartwarming and saccharine, and most importantly; the main heroine is actually likeable. (Very cute too.)
It's no masterpiece, but it's better than most stuff out there.

If you didn't like SoreSekai very much, I don't think you'll like Akagami Shiroyukihime, to be perfectly honest.
What stands out to me is the strong female MC with actual goals that are a significant part of the series, and fairly low drama all around. It's "comfy", I suppose.

Been ages Bones doing shoujo adaptation after Ouran in 2006.
Also honestly surprised that Ando directed it instead Igarashi since the latter more experienced handling shoujo shows.
