Definitely not Murano. In the second or third episode, when those dudes were throwing rocks at that cat she was all "Let's go. I don't want to watch this." without even wanting to do anything to help the poor thing. She can get devoured for all I fucking care. I can't believe SHE is, or seems to be, the main love interest (I'm not very far in yet).
Suzuki is best, because she has freckles. She'd be perfect if she had a fang tooth, though.

from my perspective they cut off a lot of her early interactions with Shinichi because they decided to make the glasses chick his childhood friend. She also comes off as playful and actually interested in him from the beginning in the manga whereas in the anime their first interaction is him accidentally grabbing her breast and she starts off as wary of him.
I understand you not liking the character but they didn't do as good a job of her in the anime.
