I got a small glass door cabinet last year that I don't mind the figures being that low in, but the thought of putting any on the bottom two shelves of my tall bookcases just doesn't feel right. I have one in a position where my dog can't get to it, but the open shelves still don't feel safe somehow to me. I wish I could feel more lax about it, as I do need the display space.
