Everybody was lying. The MC of Shirobako makes $ 87,500 a year.
Dollars isn't yen.
>muh labor theory of value

Who cares? They don't exist.
>>121406409
Someone should shop real life people faces on that for proper representation from the anime industry.
>>121406409
You know the exchange rate for dollars to yen right?
>>121406599
Those numbers are 'average' figures so matching those into some real life persons is just absurd
>tfw I only make 180k monthly
Even Rii-chan makes more than me
>>121406409
Dude she's making like ~20k
She's making about the same as most people who work 40hrs a week flipping burgers do
>>121406409
>I make about as much as the Executive Producer
>>121406917
Living in poor country, my earnings after working 40 hours per week are even lower than a lowly japanese animator and I'm making around 5000$ yearly and have to live with that and that is considered a good salary in my country for a young person with master diploma and 5 years of studies in engineering...
And people wonder why 2/3 of the world hate the top ranked countries.

>Bills have faces of people bellow them
I never noticed that, that's cool
>>121407333
Where exactly do you live? Asia, south america?
>>121406917
No fucking way any VA makes $600k per year. Unless you're Nana Mizuki or something and make a ton of money with music and concerts.
>>121407589
>A-list
>>121407589
Yes, A-List voice actors
>>121407589
If the numbers are averaged, all you need is a few ridiculously popular A-list actors to skew the results.
>>121407625
>>121407641
Yes I know it said A-List. Still doesn't mean they make $600k from voice acting. They may make $600k due to events/concerts/CDs etc but I highly doubt they're getting that much for just voice acting. It's most likely what this anon is referring to >>121407709. VAs like Nana or Yukari or Maaya probably skew the results.
>>121407589
That is Nana Mizuki. The small text in OP under A-lsiter translates to "highest known income by a famous seiyu according to national tax report."
>>121407826
Oh okay. Makes sense.
>>121407875
You're right to suspect that it's impossible to earn 70m yen solely as a VA. Even A-lister only make around 50k/day. If she managed to be almost fully booked for a year (like Kana Hana), that's still only around 200 working days.
50k * 200 = 10m yen. Rest of it necessarily come from singles, concert, and appearance fees, which are far more lucrative. In effect, anime is simply a way to get exposure, a mean to an end to rack in the real money.
>>121407418
Looks like he's from one of three Russias or some other former Soviet country.
>>121408299
How did you find that out? A plug-in?
>>121408788
Is either a jani, a mod, moot or just a random guess.
>>121408853
>moot
If only
>>121408788
Well, it seems kind of obvious based on the money part. Well educated people in those countries make a lot by their standard, but a minimal amount by western standards. I know people here couldn't give a single fuck about E-sports, but a russian team won the first Dota 2 International, and split a 1m paycheck 5 ways+fees. One of the players who lives in the Ukraine has been able to support his family just off that for 3+ years and has commented you could live comfortably with less than 3000 USD a year.
>>121407333
9400$ in japan =/= 9400$ in russia
>>121407589
You forget that VAs also do other work other than voicing roles.
Mamoru Miyano does model work.
Ono-D does stage acting.
Sugita and Nakamura host their own show.
Akio Otsuka does let's play streams on Nico.
Koyasu is actually a manager of a company.
>>121409746
Not him, but all those shouldn't factor in unless it's anything related to seiyuu work like what Nana does.
>>121408788
Еру дштуI am Russian. The line
>5000$ yearly and have to live with that and that is considered a good salary in my country for a young person with master diploma and 5 years of studies in engineering
screams it.

You forgot about commercials.

Don't try to translate, it's just a wrong Alt + Shift.

I never thought that it was so bad in Russia (I mean, not in the big cities that have unis)

>>121410387It was great before... you know what. You could do some lazy office work and make a good salary. What this guy is talking is one of the worst cases, but life is still cheap here. Thanks God I am a freelancer and I have my paychecks in $.
>>121411279
>She did it.
>>121409945
I doubt working as a waitress is related to seiyuu work either and still in the chart.
