Wow, I didn't think it was possible to be this much of a pleb. But then again, when NGE is one of the few good anime that get spoonfed to the masses of underage ADHD retards asking for recs, this is the result.
If you honestly don't realize the satire in those archtypes, then you shouldn't be watching shows like NGE (read:shows that require the IQ of an average person). On top of that, the whole show is a character study of 3 incredibly well portrayed characters that evolve throughout the series.
I think you should check out Transformers. It has enough notched action sequences and explosions to satisfy your ADD without boring things like character development or slideshows.
