This. Why would you ever need anything more than a window that contains your video?

>Pointless

mpc -> press "1" and get your video without anything else.
>>121322319
>compiling shit
sudo dnf install mpv
>press 1 and get your video without anything else
or just double click from the file manager

You must be shilling because why the fuck would I use that if MPC-HC plays video perfectly fine?
>>121322723
VLC plays your videos perfectly fine, so in using anything other than that, it is implied that you seek the absolute best in your video viewing, is it not?
>>121322823
Since when is this perfectly fine?
>>121322823
I use MPC-HC because madVR and I can't be bothered to look for any good alternatives for mpv
>>121323162
Vapoursynth? Why would you need it though, since ffmpeg libraries are already top tier?
>>121322823
>Implying that VLC is perfectly fine.
VLC is notorious for having buggy built-in codecs and plugins. This is especially a problem with fansubbed encodes because the community is always pushing for the latest and most efficient codecs, renderers, etc.
>>121323238
Well, I have mpv downloaded but I just don't have the motivation to fiddle with it when my MPC is set up perfectly well
>>121323332
This isn't based on old information, is it? Because the latest VLC in Fedora's repos is 2.2.0 and it plays just as good as MPC ever did.

I don't watch a ton of anime. For the ones that I do, I'd like to have maximum quality. Is that so bad? Setting this shit up also works on3dstuff as well.
>>121323516
>Not caring about video player
>Watching something with good animation, with shitty 8-bit color, contrast and audio
stay pleb

Next thing you're going to tell me is that you stream anime.

What is the point of these themes? They open show up for a split second when you open your video, then you never see them again
>>121323690
Split-second times a thousand adds up to a small but notable increase in enjoyment.
>>121323690
People with nothing interesting about themselves or their lives need something to discuss. These people could even argue that Yotsuba is better than Yotsuba B with a straight face.

What is the point of your life? It interacts with other things for a splint second in the universal scale before you die, then it doesn't matter anymore to anyone.
>>121323690
Not everybody watches videos on their top-of-the-line computer. Some days it can take upwards of 2 seconds before my hard drive is finished loading one.
My favourite

Horo fans always have the best themes.
S2 any minute now

How is anyone able to use less than a third gen Core 2 Duo and 4GB RAM? The mpv window containing my video opens instantly.
>>121323238
>why would you need a renderer and filtering when the demuxer and decoder is good
I like to keep it subtle.
